About

A programmer who loves running, or maybe a runner who loves programming. You decide.

Adam Culp the host of RunGeekRadio, is an ultra runner from Boca Raton, Florida who has ran multiple marathons around Florida, as well as a few ultra-marathons. For those who aren’t aware, a marathon is 26.2 miles in length. The word “ultra” means “more than”, so an ultra-runner is someone who runs more than marathon distances.

Adam is also a PHP developer and consultant working for Zend Technologies as a Senior Professional Services Consultant. He spends most of his time  consulting with companies building new applications and desire to architect them well from the start, or who have a legacy application in need of modernization to utilize current conventions and best practices. His speciality is helping others include refactoring, performance, and source control into their development workflow.

In addition to his running and consulting Adam also contributes his time to helping PHP developers in his local community through the South Florida PHP Users Group (SoFloPHP) where he is the main organizer. He is also the organizer of the SunshinePHP Developers Conference held in February of each year in Miami, Florida.
